North Downs Singletrack

The North Downs, normally associated with some fine cross country routes, hide away some amazing trails if you know where to look. Mickleham Downs, Ranmore Common and Box Hill are home to some amazing twisty singletrack. There are even some tasty freeride options too.

The route

The route will vary from ride to ride taking in plenty of classic singletrack; all connected with some beautiful XC riding through the likes of Norbury Park, Headley Heath and Mickleham Downs.

There’ll usually be time for a short break to sample the fantastic cakes sold from the National Trust shop at the top of Box Hill.

The ride will consist of a combination of the following singletracks:

Box Hill

Mickleham Downs

Norbury Park

Ranmore Common

There are also some freeride options for the more adventurous; such as Abba Zabba and Reformation.

Experience & fitness

Please be aware that overall the ride is rated as challenging and has a Blue (moderate) technical rating.

If this doesn't sound like your cup of tea, please consider trying one of our Cross Country Rides which are less technically difficult (although much longer in duration).

Equipment required

You will need the following equipment

You won't need to carry tools, a trailside repair kit or a first aid kit as your guide will have all of this.

Where and when to meet

North Downs Singletrack rides start at the public car park at the entrance to Bockett's Farm between Bookham and Leatherhead.

Rides start promptly at the time stated in the schedule of rides. Please aim to be there at least 20 minutes early to be fully ready to ride.

Booking and Payment

Singletrack rides cost £30.00 per rider (advance bookings only). Booking a ride couldn't be simpler. Just call us on 0333 12 12 125.
